Springfield Labor Council Labor Day Parade & Picnic 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 6, 2010 The Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. at the corner of John Q. Hammons Parkway and Grand. The Parade will travel west on Grand to GRANT, and South on GRANT to Fassnight Park. Parade parking and viewing will be available at Calvary Temple at 444 West Grand, and at the Grant Avenue Baptist Church at 1060 South Grant. The Parade will enter the park with a left turn on to Catalpa. The park can also be entered with a left turn on to Meadowmere where parking is available behind Parkview High School, with access on the West end of the park. The picnic begins at 11:30 a.m., with a lunch of hot dogs, Brats, chips and a soft drink for $5.00 per person. There will be music, speakers, a car show and activities for kids. All proceeds from this event go to MDA for Jerry's Kids. If you can walk, ride a bike, drive your vehicle, or push a stroller - please join us.
